How Does AI Learn?
Meet CHIP — our AI learning buddy!
Have you ever learned something by seeing it over and over again? Maybe you learned to recognize your pet, or your favorite food — just from seeing it lots of times!

Today we're going to find out how AI learns. It turns out, AI needs to see lots and lots of examples before it can recognize something — just like we do.

Let's explore how that works with our buddy CHIP!

How Did You Learn That?

Let's look at how we learn things — and compare it to how a computer learns the same thing. Think about how you learned each one!

CHIP Learned It!
CHIP
CHIP is learning the pattern! Fruits usually have seeds and are often sweet. Vegetables are usually other parts of the plant — the roots, leaves, or stems. CHIP needed us to show him examples first — and that's exactly how real AI learns!

Great Thinking!
Look at everything we discovered today about how AI learns!
📚AI learns from lots and lots of examples — just like students do!
🤝People have to teach AI by showing it examples and labeling what's right.
❤️We learn with our feelings, senses, and heart — AI only finds patterns in data.
🔍AI can make mistakes, so humans always need to check its work!

💬 Let's Talk About It!

What is one thing you think a computer could never learn just from pictures — and why not?
